Arizona DOT: The Deep Foam Injection

ADOT is injecting foam deep underneath the pavement as a way to smooth out dips on Arizona highways, including the Loop 101 Pima Freeway. This method is more cost efficient than ripping out old pavement, re-compacting the sub-grade, and placing new concrete or asphalt.

Arizona DOT: US 89 Back in Business After Landslide

US 89 in northern Arizona is now open for travel. ADOT has completed an extensive $25 million repair of the landslide damaged roadway, removing approximately one million cubic yards of rock material, realigning the roadway, and constructing a rock buttress at the base of the slide.

Arizona DOT: Building a Freeway, Moving a Mountain

Bylas, AZ: Gila River Bridge

The US 70 Gila River Bridge near Bylas, Arizona is the state’s fourth longest bridge, measuring 1,829 feet in length. ADOT has replaced the original bridge, built in 1957, with a new bridge.
