Infographics: Trucking by the Numbers

Trucking web site Fleet Owner recently released a series of infographics covering a variety of issues that affect our nation’s truckers, from road conditions to fuel costs.

According to Jim Mele of Fleet Owner, “Our goal is to paint a broader view of the landscape by picking and choosing from all that available data the information that fosters a basic understanding of trucking as an essential industry at the core of our economy.”

A range of interesting tidbits of information are included—national truck sales, crash statistics, and automated driving timelines, to name a few. Overall, the seven infographics focus on engaging outsiders to the world of trucking, helping average citizens grasp the size and significance of America’s trucking industry.
