Posted by Content Coordinator on Wednesday, September 5th, 2012

Funded by Oregon DOT, Oregon Safe Routes to School and the U.S. DOT, this video demonstrates how rectangular rapid flashing beacons work at a crosswalk. Oregon DOT just installed a rectangular rapid flashing beacon in a school zone crosswalk in Vernonia as part of a project to enhance safety at the intersection of Bridge and Missouri Streets.
