Philadelphia’s The Porch Swings!

Posted by Infra on Thursday, June 30th, 2016

As anyone who knows me, I am a huge fan of really relaxing spaces to sit. Public space not only should be inviting, pretty, clean and artistic, but increasingly a place to spend time and sit. And not just sit – but relax, meditate and maybe unexpectedly doze off if you want.

That’s why I am such a big fan of swings or hammocks! And on a recent trip to Philadelphia I stumbled upon their new human amenities installed near the end of last summer and people seem to love them, and mostly adults! I had to put up a very short montage to bring it to our audience.

I could swing there almost all day. In fact, I nearly missed my Amtrak home because I got a little carried away. Some more background in this post from PlanPhilly. http://ift.tt/28Xjd1n
