Draper, UT: ThrU Turn Intersection

Posted by Content Coordinator on Thursday, November 22nd, 2012

Utah’s first-of-its kind ThrU-Turn intersection operates at 12300 South & Minuteman Drive in Draper, Utah. The intersection, completed in November 2011, redirects left turns through signalized u-turn locations providing additional valuable “green” time for traffic to get through the main intersection. It’s close proximity to the I-15 Interstate makes this an ideal solution with limited impacts to surrounding businesses. The concept has proven successful and this video provides additional insight into its operations and successes. –on .
